SKATE FOR CHANGE 

Skate for Change - Skate, Create & Educate is a weekend pop-up filled with family friendly workshops . A weekend in celebration  and honour of Juneteenth,  Indigenous Peoples Day. and Go Skatebaording Day . This weekend we partnered with Parks Board Vancouver in this BIPOC prioritized event hosted by Nations Skate Youth, Takeover Skateboarding and I Dream Library, Vancouver. The workshops will include community quilting, art, storytelling, giveaways and the Green Ramp. The location of the workshop will be held at
Trout Lake in John Hendry Park at 19th & Lakewood in Vancouver BC.

June 19th , 20th and the 21st !

COVID-19 PROTOCOL

Total participation, 15 skateboarders and 2 volunteers  , Trout Lake Park

​

90 minute sessions that participants will need to register for in advance.

Due to the nature of the weekend events we are Prioratize BIPOC youth !!
BIPOC - Black , Indigenous , People of Colour 

​

The sessions are very limited and free of charge so please cancel if you are not going to make it !

​

Participants are asked to come no more than 10 minutes before their session.
 

6 foot physical distancing and mask wearing will be required when lining up to enter , please

​

Participants will need to answer a health questionnaire prior to entering the ramp.

​

Hand sanitization will be required prior to entering the ramp.

​

6 foot physical distancing and mask wearing will be encouraged during the skateboard session.

​

Please, no high-fives, equipment sharing, hand holding, etc.

​

Each participant will have a designated bag and jacket storage location.
